In this comparative research, the principles and policies of the Academy of Persian Language and literature (from 1989 to now) and the Infoterm were studied. To get an understanding of how theses principles and policies work in coining words in the Academy of Persian Language and literature, the scientific terms approved by the Academy of Persian Language and Literature were examined. This study is a type of theoretical research. The research method was content analysis and the data consisted of 40 scientific terms approved, published in its first to thirteenth booklet (1997-2016). The finding showed that the principles and coining of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature are in line with the principles and policies of the Infoterm. However, the synonyms and multiplicity of terminology and the conceptual plurality in various fields of science coined by the Academy of Persian Language and Literature causes confusion among experts in the scientific fields which is suggested to be at the Academy of Persian Language and literature 's agenda. یکدستی اصطلاحات تخصصی علوم و روشن بودن مفاهیم علمی برای ایجاد زبان مشترک میان رشته‏ها امری ضروری در حوزۀ برنامه‏ریزی زبانی است. در این پژوهش، به بررسی تطبیقی اصول و سیاست‏گذاری‏های واژه‏گزینی فرهنگستان زبان و ادب فارسی ، از سال 1368 تا کنون، و اینفوترم ‏پرداخته‏ایم و به‏منظور دستیابی به چگونگی کارکرد این اصول و سیاستگذاری‏ها در امر واژه‏گزینی فرهنگستان زبان و ادب فارسی ، واژه‏های علمی مصوب فرهنگستان زبان و ادب فارسی را مورد بررسی قرارداده‏ایم. این مقاله، از نظرهدف از نوع پژوهش‏های نظری است. روش تحقیق این پژوهش،  به‏صورت تحلیل محتوا بوده وداده‏های پژوهش،40 واژۀ علمی مصوب فرهنگستان زبان و ادب فارسی از دفتر اول تا سیزدهم (1395-1376)را دربرمی‏گیرد. نتایج حاصل از این پژوهش نشان می‏دهد که اصول و ضوابط واژه‏گزینی فرهنگستان زبان و ادب فارسی با اصول و سیاست‏گذاری‏های اینفوترم همگام است، اما ترادف و چندگانگی واژگانی و مفهومی در حوزه‏های مختلف علوم در واژه‏های علمی مصوب فرهنگستان زبان و ادب فارسی دیده می‏شود که این امر موجب نابسامانی و سردرگمی متخصصان و کارشناسان رشته‏های علمی می‏شود و بهتر است در دستور کار فرهنگستان زبان و ادب فارسی قرار گیرد. https://sociolinguistics.journals.pnu.ac.ir/article_5800_f551605468b142b1a3a2a592c4c67e82.pdf
