Abstract
With the outbreak of coronary heart disease in March 2017, one of the preventive programs was the closure of face-to-face education. With the impossibility of students attending school and as a result of a sharp decline in student-teacher interaction, the students' educational status was affected. Among the psychological components affected by this condition is stress and academic motivation. Objective: In the present study, the academic stress and academic motivation of high school foreign language (Arabic) students during the corona epidemic were investigated.
Methodology: The method of the present study was descriptive (correlation). The sample consisted of 533 first grade high school students in Gorgan in the academic year 1399-400 who answered the questionnaires of Rio academic motivation and academic stress of Sun et al. Data analysis was performed with SPSS software and statistical methods.
Results: Academic motivation had a significant relationship with academic stress. There was a significant difference between the academic stress of male and female students and boys had higher academic stress. There was no significant difference between students in terms of overall academic conflict, but male students had higher behavioral and emotional academic conflict.
