چکیده
زبان‌شناسی اجتماعی با اتخاذ دیدگاه همزمانی، نام‌شناسی را از دانشی کهن‌گرا به دانشی برای مطالعة اجتماع معاصر تبدیل کرده است. البته نمیتوان نقش نامها را در شکل‌دهی به ساخت‌شناختی افراد نیز نادیده گرفت، لذا از آنجا که «نام» یک عنصر زبانی چندبعدی است، زبان‌شناسان شناختی نیز به این موضوع علاقه نشان می‌دهند. البته نام‌شناسی اجتماعی مانند مطالعات سنّتی و فلسفی بیشتر به مطالعة اسامی خاص پرداخته است، اما زبان‌شناسان شناختی، به ویژه گیررتس و همکارانش، به نام‌های عام توجه بیشتری نشان داده‌اند. لباو (1972) زبان‌شناسی اجتماعی شهری را «علم تحقیقات میدانی» نام نهاده است. این توصیف را می‌توان در مورد مطالعات نام‌شناسی نیز با اطمینان بالا مورد استفاده قرار داد- به ویژه در رویکردی که نام‌شناسی را از چشم‌انداز شناختی - اجتماعی و با تأکید بر کاربرد و بافت مورد مطالعه قرار می‌دهد. هدف این مقاله تدوین نقشة مطالعاتی نام‌شناسی شناختی با استفاده از روش پژوهش اسنادی است. نویسندگان پس از مروری گذرا بر پیشینة مطالعات نام‌شناسی از منظر فلسفی و درزمانی، به مطالعات معاصر نام‌شناسی از منظر زبان‌شناسی شناختی- اجتماعی می‌پردازند. نتیجة سیر مطالعات، بیانگر بزرگ‌تر شدن حوزة پژوهش‌های نام‌شناسی بوده و نشان می‌دهد که توجه به سازوکارهای تولید واژگانی کمتر و در عوض، توجه به ساختارهای واژگانی و رویکردهای کمّی مختلف، که تفاوت در میزان برجستگی فرایندهای نامشناختی را مطالعه میکنند، بیشتر شده است.
