The current research aims to investigate and criticize the rewriting texts of Kalileh wa Demneh - a case study of rewriting Mirzarzaei - based on Newmark's cultural theory, using the analytical descriptive method, in order to determine how much the components that Newmark enumerated at the extralinguistic (cultural) level can Obstacles for message transmission are considered in rewrites of Kalileh wa Demeneh. To achieve this goal, in the first step, Newmark components were identified in the original and rewritten text, and in the second step, the amount of information that should be transferred from the linguistic structure of the original text to the rewritten text was extracted, and in the final step, this information was compared and analyzed with the rewritten text. The findings show that in most cases, the transfer of social and cultural information of the original text based on what Newmark mentioned, was not possible for rewriting. It seems that one of the significant obstacles for conveying the message of the original text is the translation of this type of vocabulary and structure in the rewritings of Kalila wa Demeneh.

Naming and choosing names are influenced by several factors. This research aimed to investigate the socio-historical contexts of the evolution of naming childrenin Saqqez during the last half century. The research method is a descriptive-analytical method. The statistical population includes the names of children born between 1350 and 1400 in Saqqez based on the documents of the Civil Registry Office in Saqqez. According to the frequency of names,, 100 girls' names and 100 boys' names (200 names in total) from five decades have been selected. These names were categorized as Kurdish, Persian, Arabic, Turkish and Western names. The results of data analysis showed that the naming of children was influenced by historical and social developments and the media. In the last decade, Persian and Kurdish names have grown more than Arabic, Turkish and Western names. Also, the frequency of some Arabic names is decreasing and the variety of names in the society has increased. The developments in naming show that society tended towards pluralism in choosing names and choosing different and new names, to be attributed to the variety of names available to choose due to access to various media and internet sites, and the desire attributed to being different.

Sociolinguistics, utilizing a synchronic approach, has transformed onomastics from a traditional framework into a field for studying contemporary society, examining it from various perspectives. This study investigates the naming patterns of schools in Gonabad located in South of Razavi Khorasan in terms of social categories, including types of names (anthropocentric and non-anthropocentric), as well as linguistic aspects (phonological and grammatical structures). This research is descriptive-analytical and employing both library and field research methods. The statistical population includes all schools in Gonabad, which are divided into public and private categories. The sample size consists of 396 names of urban and rural primary and secondary schools, spanning the period before and after the Islamic Revolution. The results indicate that anthropocentric names are more prevalent in the naming of Gonabad schools, and within the non-anthropocentric category, names tend to lean towards the abstract subcategory. In the domain of identity-related names, the highest frequency pertains to national identity. Regarding notable people, the highest number of names belongs to non-contemporary people (specifically the Islam Prophet and his family), and in terms of gender, male names outnumber female names.

Positive interpersonal behaviors in educational settings can motivate students to engage in class discussions, facilitate their learning, and build positive relationships. Notably, strokes boost students’ and teachers’ self-esteem and confidence, enhance motivation, and set the stage for a friendly student-teacher relationship. This study introduces the concept of literary strokes, inspired by the notion of strokes in Transactional Analysis (TA). It aims to determine which forms of literary or non-literary strokes are preferred by students of various academic disciplines who act as the receivers of these strokes in educational settings. The research constructs and validates a scale for measuring literary or non-literary stokes that students choose. The development of the scale was completed in three stages: reviewing relevant questionnaires, reviewing literary pertinent works to strokes, evaluating situations of teacher-student interactions, and consulting with experts (7 males and 3 females). To validate the scale, 411 students (133 males, 278 females) from various levels and fields of study answered the scale, which was distributed online. Results suggested that the scale had a reliability of 0.93 and acceptable validity according to exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses; therefore, it can be used for future studies.

From the point of view of cognitive linguistics, this process of formation of metaphor is a concept in which metaphor is a tool for understanding and cognition, and it is distant from its function in literary industries Based on the theoretical basis of Likoff and Johnson's conceptual metaphor, this research investigates the metaphorical structure of expressing moral issues in Bostan Saadi and how her intellectual representation is in this context. The method of the present research is descriptive and analytical and the method of data collection is the examination of all the texts of the poems of Bostan Saadi's book. Based on the data analysis, Saadi has used the material elements of culture and civilization, the tools and means of daily life of her time, . Compared to the classification of the mega metaphors of Kovesh, similarities and differences can be seen in Bostan. It seems that cultural and historical factors are effective in this field

The study of the colloquial idioms, which are used to establish and maintain social relations with others, is a way to realize how people think. The following descriptive-analytical study aims at investigating the concepts and explaining the cognitive motivations in the Persian colloquial idioms which include the word "bread". The data required for the study were extracted from Najafi's Persian Folklore Idioms (2008/1387) and analyzed within the approaches discussed by Lakoff and Johnson (1980) and Kövecses (2002) to determine the cognitive motivations in the idioms in terms of metaphor, metonymy and conventional knowledge. Findings showed that "bread" motivates the formation of the abstract concepts of "INCOME", "GRATITUDE", "SUPPORT", "INTERFERENCE", "TROUBLESOMENESS", "HONOR", "OWE", "MEANNESS", "MISTAKES" and "OPPORTUNISM" in the idioms. The study, also, revealed that the idioms which contain the concrete domain of "bread" are conceptualized by more than one cognitive mechanism, and the formation of the idioms cannot be related to only one mechanism. Hence, it could be concluded that idioms are motivated by multiple cognitive mechanisms.

The effectiveness of using the first language to teach a second language has always been controversial.. The use of the mother tongue of Foreign Persian learners has a practical role in explaining, describing contradictions and clarifying the concepts of the second language .The purpose of this study is to examine the views and attitudes of foreign Persian learners about the importance and role of mother tongue in learning and using Persian as a second language in Iran. The results show that in general, the views and attitudes of foreign Persian learners toward the importance and role of the mother tongue were such that the use of the mother tongue in the Persian language class was considered effective and applicable in these three cases: 1. at the elementary level 2. In Cases where some words, sentences, concepts, and themes are very difficult and complex to understand for Persian learners. 3. When there are differences in the structure of the first and second languages. Otherwise, the use of the Persian language in all (other) circumstances was considered functional and essential.
